Spring onions still very small and weedy
« on: April 21, 2009, 07:58 »
I sewed spring onions in March and when they came up in the greenhouse they looked fine. I planted them out about 4 weeks ago in a raised bed and they are still the same size, if not smaller and some have broken off. Some are just stumps. Is there something I should be feeding them ?

That would figure, mine seem to be the same, and I know I've neglected them for the last two weeks!

Mine are under a cloche now and have started to grow well. They didnt move at all until they went under so as said think it's been a tad too cold.

I'm quite pleased to hear this as mine are at a standstill, despite warm sunny days :)
