Squashes in Scotland - greenhouse or outside?

I'm trying to grow some squashes this year and I was wondering whether anyone else in Scotland has had any success? I'm trying two summer squash (summer crookneck and and orange patty pan) and two winter squash (Boston [an early hubbard] and Burgess vine Buttercup) - the vines for the winter type are (allegedly) quite compact.

I have been lucky enough to inherit a reasonably sized greenhouse shaped like an igloo  and my little squash plants have been out there for a little over a week. They are all still in pots and seem to be doing fine. It was my original intention to grow them vertically in the greenhouse but reading some other threads I was wondering whether I should be thinking of putting them outside? Although the greenhouse is in a nice sunny spot, the veg plot isn't quite so lucky and only gets a couple of hours a day (and that is when the sun is shining).

I grow Summer Squash and Winter Squash in Glasgow and I would not plant out till late May or early June after the last frost. Even then, I would provide some cloche protection for two or three weeks to get them off to a flying start.
