Watch out for those old 2-stroke petrol engines... strimmers / mowers... they are the ones to smoke a lot! 

All this concern about polution would be greatly reduced if we all cycled to the plot?? 

I wouldnt agree with the 'greatly' reduced but it would help a touch.  At least thats what Im telling myself as I have my bike delivery due very shortly

The canal path sounds lovely! A safe first pedal....good idea.

I cross a major road twice a day turning left onto it then into the middle of the road with lorries, cars and busses buzzing by either side of me to make a right turn onto a quieter road.

The bike appears to know its own way after 26 years but it can be a bit close at times when everyone is in a tearing hurry!!  :blink:

I just love it when the traffic is snarled to a stand still and I can nip through arriving at work sooner than my neighbour's car!
