now then my mum used to grow her own ginger when she was younger does anyone else here do it and where do i start and where can i get it from? never seen it in the shops to grow! could i just buy some root and hope for the best or wont that work?

We grew some from the supermarket in a pot of sandy soil in the greenhouse - it grew extra little sections which we harvested in the autumn. I'm sure the linkys above will give lots more info though
