And just WHO put those in my basket???????
« on: April 13, 2009, 15:02 »

Just been to High Legh garden centre (big 'un in Cheshire), with my little list:-
...........

Bottomless pots  ---------------------------- Check

Small peat pots ------------------------------ Check

Bounty (well you
have to keep the sugar levels up) ------ Check

4 'Sun Baby' Tomato PLUG PLANTS  --------- What the       @#*@ ?!!???!!!

I have prized myself  up to now on hand sowing, hand rearing,  molly-coddling all of my little 'babies' but today I have been seduced by some pretty tomato plants that promise  be a lovely orangy yellow colour.

How can I live with myself?

What punishment must I endure?

What else can I buy ready made?

I am so ashamed!

Right ................. I feel much better after that.  :tongue2:

I'm orf now to  pot 'em up,  and of course dispose of all packaging (well I don't want anyone else to know of my little secret do I)?  ;)

.......................YOU wont tell anyone else now will you?

 :D

I quite like those four plug pots, the taper on them makes them easy to pop seedlings out and I find them great for small batches of seeds like... tomatoes!  :D

Oh the shame - I've heard of people like you , people that buy tomato plants. Never thought Id see one in real life :D  :D  :D

Sun baby are nice though - dont forget to save a few seeds so you can repent your sin and never buy them again. I'm still sowing seeds from the 1 tomato a friend gave me in 2006 - silly man thought I was going to eat it !!!

You think you're bad, I spent a fortune on buying flowers  at the garden centre in Ashton-under-Lyne (I'm still on a guilt trip).  I wanted plants to go into my little flower bed at the front of my allotment, nothing fancy, just some colour for the summer.  Also some plants to put in the planters that I also bought to hang on the fencing.  I must admit I really do feel shamed.  But then again, when it comes summer and we have that funny shiny thing in the sky (last I heard its called "Sun") :nowink:, it should be a lovely display.

For my sugar level, I finished off my Easter egg (yes, guys, I bought it last week and its now gone, before Easter hit)
