No sun here yet - it's practically misty. I need to sow French marigolds, physalis and pansies, and do lots of weeding.

I HAVE planted the last two 32' rows of spuds, 4 x 26' rows of heritage peas and a short row of mange tout.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

planted one shed ( fully grown) hurrah :D  :D been waiting ages - no more tools up and down to plot on my bike or in my shopping trolley ( no its not tartan and I don't use it for shopping but I can get half a bag of compost in it) - also  2 more rows spuds, some peas - a day off work tuesday so it will be dig dig dig -  plenty still to do.

Hi All

Sown eight 17ft rows of Red Baron & some other onion that I can't remember.

Sorted out my bed edgings.

Marked out the planting holes for the Courgettes by burying some rotton manure.

Sowed  in pots a load of herbs/sunflowers.

Potted on a ton of stuff & starting to harden off other things.

PUP!
Top tip for camping....don't go.

Put in 60 maincrop potatoes, sowed mange tout and peas. Weeded garlic, onion and shallot beds.  Harvested spring cabbage. Came home tired.

Lynne.

So much to do, but so little time.

I'm planting teasel for the first time too but was abit dismayed as I hadn't realised that
1. they can take up to 3m to germinate  >:(
2. They probably won't flower this year  >:( >:(
Anyway, still planted them but forewarned is forearmed and I won't give up too soon

I grew teasels a few years ago & found them pretty easy & the butterflies and birds loved them but the prickles on them are hellishly sharp, good burglar deterrents.

Apart from Friday, which was raining, its been really sunny and warm this weekend in Manchester

I put in my peas which I had part grown, also put peas straight in the ground, along with dwarf french beans, carrots, potted up my Shirelys and Tumbling Tomatoes.  Planted corgettes in a tray.  Planted some seeds especially my bumble bee mix, which I hope will grow.   And dug some weeds out, but at the moment, not too many of those.

Oh and my first shriek of the year, my asparagus is coming up - I can't wait to taste them, but at the moment they are a bit on the small side, so I will have another look on Thursday.
