Red Ants???
« on: April 11, 2009, 17:21 »
I have been to the new allotment today and got loads done .... (will try post pic later), dug 2 beds and a section for the apple and cherry tree, and planted both.

My question is do red ants eat anything i am likey to grow or will they cause a problem. after lifting a load of plastic ect there is a nest somewhere underneath

I also dug a nest up whilst digging the beds.i only saw them after one bit me!!!

...  Thanks

HI Sazzy, no idea I'm afraid but I'm hoping they are harmless as I dug some up too last weekend! ::)
