It ha srained most of the day today and the girls are wet through even though we tried to cover the run up for them. Does it matter they've gone to bed wet and grumpy? He said they're chickens they'll be fine is this true I'm a worried mummy

Don't worry they will dry out overnight and come out tomorrow morning all fluffy.

Mine love the rain, the hose and the watering can.  Barbara even stands under the sponge as we wash out the coup and gets covered in bubbles.  She's a bit of a mad one so maybe that is why (!) but she's happy.  As you say, they come out fluffy the next day.

They will be fine, I used to have some ex battery hens that would come running out if it rained, I think it was a novelty for them!

My girls went in wet last night, the rain doesn't seem to faze them :blink:.
They were lovely and dry this morning, so looks i don't think it would matter.
