So when's D day now?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

I have to wait for Animal Health Agency http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalhealth/to give me a herd number, they will tell me this by letter!! Then I have to have some metal ear tags made with the herd number on them. Then its D day. When is a good question.
I now have another problem with the trailer.

One pig had got zapped by the electric run to the trailer and refused to got to the trailer with out allot of encouragement.  I took down the fence and after they got over the fence not being there they went into the trailer and had a feed. Now one of the pigs is sporting a bit of a graze on its side from the other after a fight about food in the trailer and does not want to go in.
sigh.  :(
So I am going to replace the Electric run with pallets and stakes so no matter what happens they are going to get herded to the trailer and can not get out.
I am starting to look forward to getting rid of them because I am having to many sleepless nights thinking about loading the big heavy pigs.
Stuart

Dont worry I am just paranoid duckie.

If I get the wrong end of the stick its because I have speed read. Honest.

Blar blar blar blar snorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.

Still waiting for my herd number. Fingers crossed it will be this week.
Then I have to send off for the tags.
Anyway I hope it is soon as they are getting big and soon they will not fit in the trailer!!
Here is a photo of pigs in the trailer with feed and eletric run. (did not last)

So I have blocked off the arc and they now sleep in the trailer.

The Trailer is a ifor williams  P6e 6ft by 4ft as you can see they are comfortable and it is snug. Oh got the trailer from ebay!!

I also loaded them last night and all went well.

Fingers crossed that the waiting will be over soon ruff  :(
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Looks like you are in for plenty of pork off them two!  We got our slap marker from fearings, they were very prompt, they do ear tags too.
