All looks really good today.I gave them a boiled egg at 5am this morning and they are full of beans,yet to settle down to sleep.The 3 smaller ones are slightly quieter but the bigger ones are running aroud playing,they are all chiirping away like made.Temp is 30 deg so they should be warm enough from what a read on here.
Will post piccies later today. :D :D

Oh dear all was well and i sat and watched them all morning,went out to the garden for 2 hours,came back and a 3rd one has died,they were all full of beans this morning and eating well.5 left as we have lost one each day. :( :(
I am starting to wonder about the supplier as im no expert but conditions didnt look good where they came from! :( :(

Thanks Jelly,i must admit iv been brave so far but feel like having a tear for them now.At least they have a lovely clean warm home with food and water and space. :(
Also there was another delema with the neighbours today,il put a post in chatting on the plot!

Matilda,i never thought this would happen,i am caring for them alot and sit watching them for hours.
We are down to 5 now and we were hoping for 3 girls and good homes for the rest arranged but so far its been 1 loss a day.
I havent posted piccies yet as i want to make sure they are all ok 1st  :(
Tommorow is a new day.I will say a little prayer for them tonight.

It doesn't sound like it's anything you have done.... You say conditions wern't good where they came from???  This is sending alarm bells ringing in my head....

You know we are all here to help and I know with experts on hand like Vember, Kate, Foxy Auntie,ect ect and a whole load of others (sorry that I havn't included everyone.) :ohmy:  any questions can be answered.

Same again lost one this afternoon so lost 4 and have 4 left.
2 are growing fast and getting feathers  :D another is staying small but getting feathers and theres one whos not growing feathers and isnt growing full stop so i dont hold out much hope for him tomorow.They wake up about 4am full of beans then i lose one everyday around 3pm.They just seem to fade away.
All eating and drinking well,normal poohs and temp about 30 deg.
Could it be the woodshavings?i bought them from the chicken farm shop!i just dont know.

Oh Fruitful, how soul destroying. My heart really goes out to you and sending loads of hugs. I just don't know what to say.

The only thing I can thik to suggest is to take the dead one to aq vet and ask for a necropsy with microbiology (bug tests) to see if they can identify what is going on so you can treat the rest.
Have you spoken to the supplier and told them the problem and found out if they will own up to similar problems. I know reimbursement or replacement (particularly if they would have the same problem) isn't what youare after but maybe they would have some suggestions.
