Has anyone here done a permaculture course?

I am seriously considering a 10 day course at the end of the summer.  (In Cork).

Any experiences?

Looks smashing ! if you do take part be sure to fill us in on what you thought...
I regularly thumb through the magazine "permaculture" in the college library as i was turned onto it via that ben law on grand designs ( woodland house)

I plan to read up more about this permaculture because its all a bit new to me...but i like what i see so far as long as you DONT have to be a veggie ?

No need to be a veggie Dan.  Permaculture keeps animals for food etc. too. :)  (Happy days!)  I was a little concerned that the whole approach might be a bit too touchy-feelie "yeh man" group-hug etc. for me but it seems to be a very practical course.

WG I don't think liquid refreshment is included in the price.... but I'm sure we'll sample some! :)

At £40 / day then I'm sure it isn't included in the price!   That seems really cheap??

Thanks for that... I'd seen that Greening the Desert link in the thread before.  Very positive.

Actually I think allotmenteers are the original permaculturists really (just without the fancy name) .... it's all about using resources to the maximum benefit for minimal environmental damage.  Lottie folk are always recycling stuff.. :)
