What is the ratio of hatched chicks to cockerals

A neighbour 2 doors down has a cockerel.  We only hear it at about 6ish in a morning and in the afternoon.  LOVELY.

Now he has offered us the chance to borrow him if we wish.......  Now obviously my ducks are my real love and I'm going to have that incy to breed from them if it's the last thing I do.....biding my time :D

But I just wondered on average how many cockerals do you get out of a batch....thats putting me off. 
Ducks arn't a problem as drakes are gentle creatures and don't make too much noise.  I'm just curious really.... :)

Some one I knew had a hen hatch 8 and in that batch there was 4 of each  :) Another time out of 4 she hatched 3 were boys :(

I hatched 4 Buff Orps and all were girls  :lol:

Luck of the draw I guess :D

Bizarrely all my orpies that hatched last autumn appear to be girls - all five of them!  Is that lucky or what?  The latest hatch of legbars are 2 boys to 3 girls

general rule of thumb is assume 60% will be boys, any less is very lucky. Last year my hatches were around 80 -90% cockerels! :ohmy:
Anyway, managed to get a breeder to save up some rare American fawn and white runner eggs for me, soooooo excited!!!!!

I read somewhere that the health condition of the hen affects the ratio of boys to girls.

from out Christmas chicks we got 5 girls and 2 boys, one of the polands we hatched in september we still have no idea what it is, if it's a boy he's never crowed, if it's a girl she's never laid, at first we called it Mr D'arcy, then Mrs D'arcy, now it's known as..............Mr and Mrs D'arcy.

Talking today to the young couple who took the last Babcock's and a friend of theirs tried hatching some eggs, out of 14, only 2 were cockerals.  Lucky or what????

 I have a hen who only seems to throw cockerels. I can tell already which ones were hers, as they are again all boys!!!!

I hatched 12 buff orpingtons last year 3 were boys! but majority I would say hatched more cockerells than hens, my freezer if quite full at the moment!!
