Question for the Pea God
« on: April 03, 2009, 14:40 »
DD.

I know you plant your pea seeds direct (so do I, too lazy to do anything else) so you sow quite thickly, do you thin them at all?

I have previously tried to space them but I've had this seed for several years so I sowed more thickly this year.

Cheers

Im of the mind he plants too many to thin out!

Thin? THIN? THIN?

Naw - just leave them as they are!

Don't lose too many to the mice - protected by well pegged down debris netting this year!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

According to the National Vegetable Research Station, peas should be grown in 3s, 4.5 inches (11 cm) apart in rows 18 inches (38 cm) apart.

Unfortunately, they do not tell you how many to sow to get this result.
