Has anyone any tips for growing a bumper potato crop in a ten litre bucket, from one tuber,I have been roped in to a local competition,the variety of potato is a closely guarded secret

does it have to be a 10 litre bucket, seems a bit small - I'm doing all mine in 20 litre buckets.

Make sure the compost is very nutrient full..start with compost (preferably home made) with a few handfuls of manure and comfrey leaves..leave a month and then add blood fish and bone. Make sure you water regularly- dont let them dry out and earth up.

Yeah, the buckets are supplied along with the tubers
