I'm ready to get my chickens, Hurrah

Kind of become friends with a guy who lives nearby and would like to take 2 isa brown from him. i would then like 2 other chickens but would like other breeds ( for variety) can anyone tell me what breeds go well together? and is this a good idea, or not?
How do i manage the move in, do i just bung them all together on the same day?

Put one lot in the hen house preferably at night the first night,  and then introduce the others another night into the hen house in the dark and you should be o.k.  Ours are always done this way and we have no problems whatsoever.

how long should i leave it untill i bring in the others?

I would do it the next night so they can all settle in together so ther is no pecking order then as they are all the new kids on the block.
