I must confess to a small amount of irony 

It's not too bad. There's still pockets of resistance to change but the 20th century is bound to infiltrate even those areas one day. Where we are is mostly retired folk who don't really want much new. Can't blame them.
I'll eat anythign and everything pretty much (once) and then decide if I like it. OH loves fiddling with food so I'm well catered for.
