fish bone and blood supplier

anybody know the cheapest place to get blood fish and bone by the bucket
i was going to use as a general fertilizer or would chicken pellets or bonemeal be just as good ??

try a local allotment association if there are any, they often do good prices if you are eligible to join

I never remember the differences between the fertilisers but there's an article on them on the Information pages, have a browse and I'm sure you'll find it

avoid the garden centres..everyone Ive seen has been OTT in price. Ive found wilkos is good, (as always) but only in boxes not tubs here.

If your lotty shop and local independent shops can't help, might be worth looking in the pound shop (whichever version you have where you are) - bulk buying smaller boxes would be possible

they had buckets of FBB in homebase the other day, i think it was �7.99 which i thought was not too bad, i could be wrong though!!

i have just checked and it is �7.49 for a 10kg bucket, so compared to �1.99 for a 1.5kg box in wilkinsons thats quite good.

Thats not a bad price at all - we get it from a horticultural wholesaler for �15 / 25kg
Buckets are good idea, can get smelly and is attractive to rats
