How to grow cauliflowers?

oh, god, i really am scared now about growing the caulis i've got.
i've got a big planter that never ever gets sun: would that work?

Our cauli seed tray has erupted there lumps of soil lifting all over the place it sounds like it might be to hard for me to grow these but we are going to try.

Right heres the cauliflower cheese recipe to die for as asked lol.

We have this at least once a fortnight put some broccoli and leeks in to, and thats it main meal sorted put straight out of the oven in centre of table mmmm.

1 Cauli
2oz butter
11/2 oz flour
8fl oz creme fraiche
5oz grated Gruyere cheese
salt & pepper

Heat oven to 190 c gas mark 5

Boil Cauli florets for 10-15 min

Meanwhile melt 1 1/2 oz butter in pan, add the flour and stir until absorbed, gradually stir in the creme fraiche and cook, stirring, until thickened. flavour with two thirds of the cheese, salt and pepper to taste.

Arrange the cauli in gratin dish and pour over the sauce (if the sauce is thick no matter) sprinkle with remaining cheese and dot with butter.

Bake 20 min.


Cauliflower cheese has never been the same since i discovered this recipe!

i put onion or courgette or beans (basically whatever's growing in the garden at the time i make it) in with the rest of the stuff.
i love cauliflower cheese!
