Hen House flooring
« on: March 19, 2009, 09:41 »
Our hen house has ´concrete´ flooring, but it is breaking up- the damp is coming through.  We have loads of spare spare floor tiles- what thoughts on a nicely tiled floor to the hen house?  I thought then it would be easier to clean out and scrub down.

Wow great idea, costly but very effective I would think for cleaning out. Put a picture up when done it will be interesting to see. I have some spare tiles in my garage might do the same with my wooden shed, that would stop the rats getting through when they show up to spoil the party. They might slide around on the tiles if they are too smooth or ceramic type.

May sound silly, but could you not lay them upside down if they were too shiney?  The floor would still be flat and water proof?  Just a thought.
