To chit or not to chit?

Put my spuds in the shed for chitting two weeks ago and nothing seems to be happening. Can i plant them unchitted as my lottie neighbour said it dont really matter, :blink:

You can plant them unchitted ok. I cheated and put some of mine into a warm room on a south facing window and they have great chits on them almost 2cm long.
That is the opposite of what you should do if you chit in January and February. :D
