Your list is impressive, diggerjoe!  :blink:

(EDIT: just bought some Carlingford for winter/Christmas - great price at dobbies  ;) )

I only have 5 seed potatoes for a couple of the names but loads of the others.  I have planted them out in their bags and tubs, so fingers crossed I get something  :wacko:

This year we have;
First Earlies: Maris Bard
Second Earlies: Maris Peer & Pentland Javelin
Maincrop: King Edwards
Salad: Nicola

Also had two tubers of Rocket and Vales Emerald free from the potato council and have never grown either before (both first earlies) so that will be interesting.

second earlies: Lady Balfour
maincrop: Vales Everest

Never grown potatoes before. We only have a half-plot so are pretty limited on space terms. There were good reasons for choosing those varieties, although I can't remember what they were  :D

Just Kestrel, grew them last year and thought they were delish, plus very little slug damage.

However found out Sunday that the Allotment secretary didn't order enough and I haven't got any, can't say I'm happy as I have been asking every week for 3 or 4 weeks only to be told don't worry, we'll get round to it soon enough.  I bet all the old retired blokes who are there every single day got theirs though. :mad:

Any suggestions as to where I might get some, my local Wilkinsons doesn't do Kestrel, neither does my local independant shop.

Thompson & Morgan have them - other online places might, as well.
