Was going to plant my seed spuds and onion sets today but woken up with a "cannot be bothered" attitude. Maybe it is the dull weather after a lovely week while I was stuck in an office. :(

Nothing doing here because it's really wet & windy
It's still too cold to plant much out yet anyway, so I can live with that.
I think we have have "snow flurries" forecast for over Easter! Just need to make sure my spuds are well earthed up once they start poking through the surface. Onions are already fleeced so hopefully they'll be ok too.

I've already put in onions, shallots and early potatoes. Garlic and broad beans went in last November and are doing well. This coming week I will be sowing carrots and spring onions, building pea supports and planting out the first lot of peas (and sowing some more in modules)

popped down the plot for the first time in aweek today and was delighted to find the beetroot and peas showing their heads, as well as some carrots giving it a go.

Red onions and garlic is going strong too.

Planted parsnip, marrow and brussels today.

Ooh my back... :(

I'm verging on crippled -dom, but boy I'm a happy Parsnip.

White honions went in yesterday and rhubarb kindly donated by my plot neighbour. Red honions  today and my first earlies went in too..at last!!!! woohoo

I've still got the other two thirds of the plot to dig over again and get rid of the horseradish and couch grass

My 2nd sowing of peas(30) and 1st of cobra beans have germinated (in paper pots on window ledge) in 5 days :)
so moved them to greenhouse. Sowed more lettuce cos first sowing is nearly big enough to go outside. Pricked out 12 San marzano toms, 5 tigerella and 3 aubergines. Sowed 4 Napia pointy peppers and 4 cherry chillies (bit late but they've gone in the propogator so should catch up)

Still no sign of red spring onions so ordered another lot from DT Brown (no postage!)
During next few warm, but rainy days i  will temporarily clear the greenhouse cos I still havent washed the glass  (my excuse is i've only just finished the last of the winter salad.... so that was well worth doing!!!)
Then apart from some basil to sow.........i'll have a little rest for a few days. (i'll get bored )
