Mist for humidity

don't know where that advice comes from?.... i grew them best in greece 30 odd degrees in scorching hot sun .....certainly no humidity there......... but lots of bumblies and i think the dirth of them here last year resulted in poor pollination

Funnily enough, after reading this thread, I looked in one of my books and  it mentions aubergines like humidy.

I know what you mean though, I think sun and heat are the more immportant things followed by humidity if available.

Said also to pinch the tops out at 12" high and to stop the shoots with fruits, 2-3 leaves after the fruit has set. I hope that is correct.

After last years poor results.......I'd like to see the fruits first and only then will i even think about stopping

(If you google aubergine growing the advice is very much split down the middle about the humidity thing which aint much help )
