The books read like John talks!  Straightforward, no nonsense advice.  Lovely John!

If I had to find something wrong, I'd say on page 70 of the allotment guide, couldn't your illustrator draw a slightly bigger chicken house and run??????    :D :D :D

Loved the kids chapter John
"I think the carrot infinitely more fascinating than the geranium. The carrot has mystery. Flowers are essentially tarts. Prostitutes for the bees. There is, you'll agree, a certain je ne sais quoi oh so very special about a firm young carrot" Withnail and I

He did but we only had 256 pages to play with! Low Cost Living was supposed to be 50,000 words so I sent in 65,000 ... not many pictures in that!

Check out our books - ideal presents

Well I'm really impressed - and I haven't even seen the book yet....

I ordered 2 copies yesterday afternoon, one for me and one for a friend.  She's emailed me to say it arrived just before lunch today.  Mine should be waiting for me when I get home then  :D :D

Very speedy John.  Thanks loads.

Edited to say it was there, I had to fight the kids off to open the packet!  Youngest tried to read the book as well - bless - he's only 3.

Ordered yesterday and arrived this morning, now that's what I call service!

Seriously though, I've already been dipping into it and it's great. Hubby, who will eat the fruits of my labours but has shown very limited interest in the the process, has already been caught having a sly read too - result.

Combined with a packet of the carrot seeds I was planning on getting for winter harvesting, I'm one happy camper, thanks John  :D.
My music teacher was right. If you have to make a mistake, make it good and big and loud; with a bit of luck people will think that it was always meant to be like that.

Well I've got mine and to be honest I think it's just great. Another down to earth book for down to earth people, teaching not preaching how it's done.
Thanks John & Val  :)

Noooo, I didn't mean it had to be a bigger picture, just a picture of a bigger coop!!!  get me drift?  :) :) :)  We keep telling people not to put theiir chickens in too small a house, all we need now is for someone to say, well its like the one in John's book!!!!    :D :D :D
