Had a chance to have a good mooch through and, whilst there does appear to be a small amount of crossover (which is inevitable) it really is a well-written and easily accessible book, with tonnes of good information. I was poring over the fruit section last night!

More promo fees please, John.

I just had to order from the wholesaler.. promised that no books were being dispatched before the release date. You'd think it was Harry Potter!!

It's been a good day up to now. Went to the lottie till lunchtime, when I got home John's new book had arrived, only ordered it Friday not bad for the post around here. Went back to the lottie with book, did what I needed to do and spent the rest of the afternoon sitting in the sun reading the book.
Now I'm off to the gym, then for dinner at Carlisle United's ground (Brunton Park) then to watch the match and hurl the cutomary verbal abuse at the ref and linesman, sorry ref's assistant. I'm 62 years old and a City Councillor so I don't bother with throwing toilet rolls any more. Hope I have a perfect finish to a perfect day with a win.

Donald Cape
p.s. The book's the highlight of the day up to now, Thanks John

Mine came today too, thank you John  :)
Some fascinating sections that I can't wait to read in depth. What little 'crossover' I can see is necessary and also differs from the first in content, complementing each other perfectly.
A fine double act (but I think this one is going to be my favourite!)
Looking forward to no.3  :)

(I need a smiley for self-righteous know-it-all.....)
They can't stop you from selling it or sending it out unless you've got an official embargo; which you haven't

I'm sure it's better than Harry Potter, though John: just ordered mine now - hope I haven't missed out on the free seeds cos I could have got it at trade discount from Bertrams.....

 :tongue2: :) :)

andreadon - don't worry, I wouldn't renege on an offer. We've checked our stocks and are pretty confident of keeping it going until the release date.

I certainly wouldn't accept orders I couldn't fulfil.  :D

It certainly took some sweet talking to get the book service to release more stock to me.

A victim of your own success - will this lead to burn-out and disillusionment with the industry in a rock stylee  :D?

Ordered mine today.
My music teacher was right. If you have to make a mistake, make it good and big and loud; with a bit of luck people will think that it was always meant to be like that.
