Grapevine needs to move
« on: March 05, 2009, 11:04 »
well, actually the grape vine can stay but the greenhouse it is in needs to be moved. The vine is planted outside but then enclosed within the green house and must be quite old (maybe 30+ years). I produced lots of sweet black grapes last year. I am assuming i cannot move the vine??, so will it die if i were to tie it to a frame after the greenhouse has gone, or more likely to survive but not bear fruit ??

I was going to say we live in a mild area but after last January. not sure thats true :D

Mine is growing outside and it is a vigorous as anything - hard to keep under control really. Most people on our site with vines have them outside so I reckon yours should be OK as long as it's not in a very windy place.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
