I just finished,planting victoria rubarb seeds from homebase. I was going to buy the small crowns 3pack? But I opted for  suttons seeds 80p cheaper (Im Scottish). What I want to know is Ive planted around 20 seeds,in a large pot. Is Victoria a good plant? Or should I got Champain plants.Thanks very much

TBH i could never tell any difference between types, To me rhubarb is rhubarb is rhubarb.
And if it was left on the plot for you you wouldn't know, so don't worry whatever you have .......IT'S THE BEST 1

The biggest drawback is that you'll have to wait another year to get a crop: this year you really should let the plants concentrate on building up roots, and the next two years you'll only take a very light crop.  Since the crowns you buy are year-old, you bypass the first, unproductive year.
