Can I add wood ash and fish blood and bone to my Brassicas bed at the same time?  Is there likely to be any nasty reactions?

If you shouldn't how long would you have to wait between application of one then the other?

I can't see why not. Bone meal takes about 3 months to break down into a useable form for the plant, fish meal would be faster. Fresh ash isn't the best as it should be a bit older so not to burn roots.

What about wood ash for onions?

My sister has a new wood burner and is passing the ashes my way - I thought it might do the autumn onion sets some good...

Any tips would be welcomed....

My concern was mixing wood wood ash (Alternative to Lime) and  fish blood & bone an organic alternative to Fertilizer..  Never Mix Lime and Fertilizer

The wood ash is not fresh so I guess it will not burn and there is 1 or 2 months left before I will be using the bed in question.
