How wide do raspberries grow?

Please can someone tell me how wide autumn fruiting raspberries grow.

I have a 2ft wide bed along the path and wondered if they could go in there
or if they would hang over the path too much. If they can go there i wouldn't be losing any veg growing space. If they can't i might just have to lose a flower border...   can't lose any more lawn as grandchildren need somewhere to play

If you only grow a few, you can tie them up, but I have to allow 6 feet of growing space for mine, plus space to walk along the row to pick them. All in all they must take up about 10 feet of my plot.
