Talking about Aran, Catii, did you hear about the people in Iceland?  they were watching their TV's (must have Sky), adn they heard that a lot of old people in Lincolshire and Yorkshire are getting very cold and some dying because they can't afford their heating bills, so they collected loads and loads of Icelandic cardigans and jumpers, enough to fill a big storage container, and the ship delivered them today!!!

Sorry, we sort of hijacked this thread, we were talking about selling eggs, and got onto jumpers!!!!

normally, I sell mine at the WI for £1 per box (6), but I don't take any money from it. (I know, I'm too kind).
But, I've started selling them in my bookshop at £1 again and they're doing quite well.
I've put a little sign up saying the names of the hens and saying that they're surplus so aren't graded.
I'm hoping  that that will cover me as a cottage gate seller....

very rewardingly, I had a family come back into my shop this saturday who had bought a box last saturday and they wanted another box (luckily I had one) - the little boy, who was about 8, said "they were delicious".  how cute is that?! 
I was very chuffed for my girls.
