   OH has just Done the Deed for our Doris (Light Sussex x ISA brown).  I have in the past described her as a sociopath on here, but nevertheless it is a sad day...

The other three had been vent pecking, and I sprayed her with purple spray.  No lice so far as I could see.  One other is moulting and I have been feeding cat food.  They have had toys and distractions to keep them away from her but I had nowhere to separate her.  Today OH found her half dead and being pecked to bits and just did what he thought was for the best.  Out of my hands as I am at work but I would probably have done the same.

Will the three left turn on another one?  Is there something I have overlooked?

You will have to keep an eye on the others to check they don't start on one another

I don't know how their minds work 
Maybe she wasn't 100% and they picked up on that?

Thanks Sarah.  She was always a bit separated from the others, by her own volition though, and a bit slower, last to start laying and so on, so in that respect she was always a bit "different".
