was at my local cheapo shop today and came acrossed these potato planters which look like waste recycling bins. im not interested for myself, but my mum, she has a small courtyard garden which is sunny all day, how are these to use, would she get much out of one? and of course is it worth the £5.99 lol

yes they are excellent - work very well - I usually do one at least in the green house - get some extra early ones

You can find the bags cheaper if you hunt round...

I've tried it in bags for the last three years - masses of vegetation but dissapointing crop, must be doing someting wrong, I tried leaving them in the GH, putting them outside, feeding as necessary all to no avail

I've used these in the past but I'm having problems finding them cheaper than the above price... anyone found cheaper?

personally i would go for a flexible trug, like people use for horse feed.  these are only about £4 and insulate well.  They also have handy handles and it is easy to remove the plant when ready and the sides are flexible enough to work it out easily (not rigid like a standard pot)

Just need to make a few holes in the bottom

It's against the law in Australia to fornicate with a kangaroo.................unless you are drunk!!!  Otherwise, it'd be disgusting :@

Hiya
I think they are a good idea If you have'nt got alot of space as when your done you can fold them up put them away and put out something else. I have used the veg pack planters from that range aswell which are three different sizes and they are great.
