I would like to try and hatch some eggs and looking for an incubator.  I did not want to spend a lot in case I turn out to be rubbish at doing this so any suggestions welcome.

Thank you

Hi Dvd030

I have a small Rcom3 has been & still is a fab little incy - I had a couple of problems with the turning to begin with but now I know what's what it's been great.
Although I know of some people who don't like them - it's worked for me :D

What type of eggs are you thinking of getting?

Have you tried hatching with a broody hen? Takes all the stress out of it

Hi Sarah

I have not done this before but wanted to try and see if I could do it.  I know I would be chuffed if I managed to hatch some eggs.  I would like to hatch some silkies  :D

I dont have any hens at the moment so cant use the broody option (although I did think about it), they will be arriving on the 21 Feb.

There is no better feeling in my opinion than watching the little bundles of fluff hatch

Keep us posted with how you get on :D

Do a Google search for home made incubators. There is a lot of plans out there and they are easy to make. There is also a company in N.Z. that sells all the electronic parts and all you have to build is the cabinet

If you would like to borrow one, I can send you it and you just pay the postage to and from.

Either a 12 egg incubator or a 50 egg incubator.
