When they start to grow use some aluminium foil behind them (on the room side) to act like a mirror and reflect the light on to them.

Yes, I made a reflector thingy from some Card and tin foil, I have it sat waiting for the seeds too show :D

Well I've just planted 97 broad bean seeds in their protective compost and toilet rolls in an unheated green house never had any problems before, usually end up with about 70 plants

Broad beans are a different matter, they can over-winter outside -try that with tomatoes! :lol:  :lol:
