The former occupier of my plot has kindly left 3 nice rows of strawberrys in  :D .

Ive got about 3 rows of 20 and the plants have full leaves which most of the leaves are brown. So far i have had 3 different lots of advice what to do with these....

Leave them alone.

Cutt all the leaves off and cover with straw (this person even said cut them back with a lawn mower).

cover with straw.

Remove the leaves, de- weed, top dress with blood fish and bone, leave until new leaves are growing then dress with straw. Is what I'd do.  :)

Apparently comfry works wonders with strawberries, so I'm told. Ive about 20 comfry plants in a raised bed which look pretty sorry for themselves, hopefully they will improve when the weather warms up.  I'm advised to chop the leaves up and dig them in in 1 of my two beds to see what happens. Ie  1 wiz comfry and the other wizout
