Compost for vegetables

can anyone recommend a good compost or compost combination for starting off vegetable seedings?

Personally I just use sieved MP compost,but I know a lot of others are far more choosy with what they start their seedlings off in

Edited to add ...MP is peat free and whatever the local deal is i.e. B&Q
Just to add, dont start in any homemade compost, its far too rich and will 'burn ' your seedlings

Easy enough to make your own the mix is 50:50 peat/or substitute to horticultural sand . Make sure you sieve it and as a general rule seeds should be sown about as deep as the seed them selves.

Like Peapod says you can use MPurp, I'd stay away from growbag compost unless it's been used the previous year as they can be too high in nutrients.
