Wanting to know whether sawdust/hay and rabbit droppings can be added to compost and rotted down to be used insted of chucking them out from the cage.

As rabbit dropping a just veg, i assume that these would make pretty good fertiliser - any thoughts?

All okay provided not masses of sawdust.  Layer it with good greenstuff - comfrey if you have any.

Yup we put all our guinea pig stuff onto the compost heap - newspaper, sawdust, hay, poops and widdles - the lot.  When I get time I tear the newspaper into strips as it makes it disappear into the compost more quickly!
Gardening organically on chalky, stony soil.

Yeah it all rots down eventually, just mix it about, as sawdust can compact a bit. Makes lovely compost when it's gone, the only poo based waste I would avoid is from carnivores, so rabbits, guinea pigs etc would be fine

Don't rub too much salt into Munty's wounds Shaun - I'm not good at keeping up but I think his latest catch might have gone back out to sea...  :(
