Just spent nearly 4Hrs down the plot,
bored today, decided to dig in the manure, spead on top a couple of
months back. Ready for me tats, surprised at how many
worms there were, o'kay expected a few, but ever forkfull!
2-3 or more, allowing the soil was still qite frozen,
'ole Robin was having a field day.
Was it the warmth of the pooh?....or just them there worms
were 'ungry?  Sign of things to come?

As long as soil isn't frozen solid, worms will be at work, and with the good feeding you gave them last fall, they're loving you.

Would`ve said the worms my self if anything mate, in winter the food is scarce as all the worms stay under the soil to keep warm.
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
