ive been chitting my spuddies now for about 4 weeks i first started them in th shed but you all said this was wrong as there was no light getting to them so they are now in a light cold sspre room but they have chitted but the shoots are very dark and fury are they ok as this is my first time out at growing shouldnt they be a nice green shoot. thx
please let me have the good life
cant cope with this one

No this is fine, you don't a big drawn shoot, which is why ultimately they need to be in a light place. No probs with the shed, until the shoots start to appear, then they need to go into the light. The 'fur' is just the hairy bit of the shoot, so don't worry, everything is fine.

when you look at potato foliage it is furry so this is normal as said earlier.

well your not to far from bridge i'm looking at 3-4 weeks from this weekend,this will be down to the weather though.

I didn`t plant until 22 April last year `cos of cold weather,the year before 3 weeks earlier both good crops.I am v bad at it but find it usful to make a list of every thing you want to plant,varieties and then when you plant....it all goes wooley by May but at this time of year is great `cos it tells you about yourpatch.I have a garden(hence you lot)but if you have a lottie then others there are your best bet.

last spring was realy slow to get going annie it seemed to drag onfor ages march was realy cold and wet.

I don`t worry too much as everything seems to catch up later.Last year was bad for peppers ,chillies and aubergines for me,this year I have a couple of heated propagators   ,what a difference.
