Should I ask for when I sell 2 Barnevelder hens that have just come into lay, I will also be selling a blackrock hybrid with them if I can. If someone doesn't want 3 girls I would have to sell 2 blackrock hybrids cos I wouldn't send 1 girl to a new home on her own.

They were all hatched at the end of May and started to lay since 21st Dec.

Chooknewbie asked a similar question a bit ago & I suggested that if possible work out how much it had cost her to feed them in the time she'd had them.
Amount corn costs per week divided by the amount of hens. Once you know per week how much it has cost for each hen times it by the time you've had them - does that make sense :?

A good quality barnevelder would be worth more than a black rock hybrid. Pure breeds normally start at £15 each depending on quality. For a hybrid which are far more available I would use Vember's formula
