I havent grown potatoes before so i was wandering what is best to use bags or buckets.Also which variety i quite fancy charlotte pots any other sugestions .

I prefer buckets, but bags do hold more compost for bigger batches of spuds.

That would be genius.  You'd need a lot of dirt and probably have to divide it up as you were filling it (otherwise you'd have all those spuds at once)but that is spud bags on a bigger scale.

Those bags would be great for raised beds in general if you were pushed for space.  The RHS did a project with Carole Kliene about small raised beds.  I recon with three builders bags you cold follow their planting schedules...but that's a different topic.
