Have found a big bag of used toilet rolls holders , my wife says she saving them for our allotment. Do many others use these things? and what exactly do u use em for ? is the more than one or 2 uses as we have loads  :)
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Most certainly do. I get wine boxes from the supermarket cut  down and put the toilet rolls in them.
Not much free in life,but when it is i think it makes allotmenting much more fun.
I have about a hundred in the shed ready to go.

Egg boxes and wine boxes cut width ways in process of beeing saved for spud chitting.

Yes i use these. Cut mine in half and fill with compost then set a seed in each. Then when its time to plant just drop the whole thing into the soil. Great stuff, no mess and the cardboard will break down.
Life is a heap of manure. Growing one minute, stinking the next.

I have started saving mine as I plan to use them to plant seeds as I had read it on here.  They can also be composted.

plant the seeds in the toilet roll holders.
let them grow.
plant the whole toilet roll holder, sprout and soil.
let the toilet roll rot away.

Just make sure that when you plant the loo roll holders, the top of the cardboard tube is below the surface of the soil (otherwise it acts like a wick and can prevent the plant developing too well)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
