First question what should you NOT feed them?

Good question!
No no's are: raw potato (cooked is fine), avocado, chocolate, hay or long grass (can cause impacted crop), bread (unless soaked first - again too much can cause impacted crop). The official line from DEFRA is that you must not feed them anything that has been prepared in your kitchen. They will avoid most things in the garden that are toxic to them, providing they have enough choice! Except for potato plants and rhubarb plants which are toxic if eaten in large quantities but for some reason they seem quite partial too!

Best bet is not to change their diet too drastically at first, so try to continue with what they are on already, then introduce new treats gradually. Hope you enjoy them!  8)

Hi the chucks are home sorry no pictures yet the battery on the camara went flat.
The hutch they came with is not very spavin :(  I will soon put that right.
I let them roam around to acclimatise but it was fun and games trying to get them to bed. I now need  about 100 yards of chicken wire and some time to make the run secure

Fantastic news Dugless :D
Glad you've finally decided to take the plunge & join us fellow Mad Chicken people

Best get galvanized wire netting though, fox can get through basic chicken wire so it's a no no as far as security :D

Sarah :)
