for those that grow undercover how early do you plant/sow your beans.

I only started with my PT in April 08 so haven't got any experience in sowing the early crops.

I start some broad beans off indoors about the beginning of February so they can be transplanted out in March. I don't know about growing under cover though sorry.

oh thanks but i was thinking more french and runner beans.

I was thinking of sowing next month but not sure if that's too early

:shock:  oh no - too early for french & runner beans little sweetpeas, even under cover!  Personally I would wait until about late March for my area, and even then indoors to be planted out mid-May (hopefully after the last frost)
