this time last year I was given some raspberry canes which I planted and cut down to approx 12 ins. They grew well to about 2.5 metres but did not fruit. I figured that I should leave them and they will fruit this year. I'm unsure as to whether they are summer or autumn fruiting and after consulting various books I am somewhat confused as to what action I should now take. Any help/advice would be appreciated

Sound like summer fruiting, had they been autumn ones they should have fruited the same year.

In this case - leave them!

Ooh so I should be lucky and get some fruit from my Autumn Bliss this year then    I think I planted them in October........I only expected some fruit next year  :?
