I know what you mean about the price, perhaps I should put them up again after them eating their way through nearly 3 tonne of grub!  I've looked on other sites and they are selling hybrids even in Cambridgeshire for £12.50 each!!!

Any chance you could put a couple in the post and send them over to Ireland

I am determined to get a couple more hens next year, but I am still working on convincing my husband...

i think elvis would fall head over heels in love with crunchie - they look like a match made in heaven, and he's such a gentle fella.

My Girls
« Reply #293 on: December 23, 2007, 20:41 »
These are my ladies:

Mother Hen in the middle, Princess SnowWhite at the back (yes I have a 4 yo daughter) and Chuckles at the front (and a 2 year old son!)
Excuse the building site of a garden, the rest of it's green honest!
Am still waiting for my first egg - but am enjoying "chicken watching" when I have the time!

Ness, they are lovely :D

One of mine is named Dora (after Dora the explorer) by my 4+1/2year old niece, my nephew wanted to call the other one Ciaran (that's his name) but when I explained that my chickens are girls he lost interest (he's 7)

Glad you like them   . Not the best pic but it was the only one where they all sat together.  Apart from when they try to squash in a dust bath together, but they see me coming with a camera
Kids are great with names, not sure about "chuckles" doesn't seem to suit her really!

Mine are like that too Ness, I keep trying to get one of them asleep in their run but they always hear me coming and think they're going to get food.

 Mine seem to spot me at the back door, where ever they are, and come running.  I still find the sight of running chooks funny!
