Here's some updated pics of my girls and boys! if anyone is interested?  See the different markings, and I thought they were supposed to be white!!!!

This is the smallest one that looks like a cockerel with the comb and wattles, but walks like a hen!

[/IMG]

This is the medium sized cockerel?

[/IMG]

and this is the biggest one!

[/IMG]

Here are some of the others, including the ones with quite dark markings, and one has just started to be feather pecked, you can see the blood on her tail!

Thanks for the photos Annie :D  I will be upset if you end up selling all of them/posting them off all over the country

Never having had a cockerel, how do you mean he walks like a hen?  (sorry for the stupid question)

The colouredy ones are unusual but might they change colour again when they moult next time? My Dora started off being pretty white but is definately browner since she moulted...I've put a photo of the change on somewhere here...

Hi Rosey, these all started white too, but got more brown after they moulted, which they are still doing!

The biggest cockerel doesn't walk like a hen, he struts, standing up straight as if very proud of himself!  Although Amberlinks are quite an upright bird, all the 'hens' when they stand have a more horizontal back and their tails stand up, but he and now the medium sized one too have tails that are more down, if you know what I mean!?  Whereas the little one, walks like the other hens with the more horizontal back.  He could be a hen as he's quite petite, he only weighs 1.25 kgs but most of the others weigh between 1.5 and almost 2kgs, which is what they should weigh at 18 weeks!

It's not so noticable in the photo's as it is when you can actually see them.  In the end, my family went home early on sunday, so I didn't get the promised video of them on granddaghter's boyfriend's phone, so I can't show you, unless I can get an extra long webcam cable!!!!!

Glad Rosie asked that question I was just about to.

Have you got many left Grannie ?
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

At the moment I've got a defo order for 6, Munty wants 8, but not sure if he still does now he's going to Scotland (or gone to Scotland?) eldest daughter's in-laws want 12 unless they change their minds again!  friend of a friend possibly wants 6, so there's still a few left.  Brian said how many do you want Richy?  You're not too far, we could deliver, but only if you have 100!!!       Babe would have some, but she's in ipswich and Jacnal would like some but she's in the smoke!!!!  But apart from the blog, I haven't advertised them yet, will wait until after Chrimbo then put them in the paper, and I'm not advertsing on here BUT THEY'LL BE 18 WEEKS on 12th JANUARY!!!!
