They look grand Grannie.  How are you planning to sell them 300 is quite a lot of chooks

Well, only 175 more than I originally ordered Aunty, but I couldn't let them be gassed could I?  When we were going down for some anyway!

I'm trying to keep my advertising as cheap as possible, so I've got a for sale bit on my blog, then there's a bit on the Smallholder mag website where people can sell bits, and a Farmer's market on the River cottage site too.  Then I'll put a sign outside the house, and a little ad in the local paper, and Chickychick said she' mention it to people around her way too as they are always saying they can't get chooks, that's why she ended up coming down our way to get hers.

The lady we got our POL's from, said she never has any problem selling them, just puts an ad in the local.  Then there's always Tesco and Morrisons For Sale Boards.

And I'm keeping a dozen or so myself to build up my laying flock.

Of course, if they don't sell, then I'll have a lot of eggs for sale!!!!!!!  So the next question could be, where do I sell 300 eggs a day?????

Yes aunty, they and the goldlines are sex linked, so WYSIWYG !!!!!!

The hen Amberlinks are white, cockerels are browny,
the hen Goldlines are brown, cockerels white or creamy.

Shame in a way as Brian wants some cockerels for the pot, but the hatchery said when we want any, let them know and they'll save us some.

Thanks for the frizzles pic, how funky are they?!  :D

And Bigfoot - what a dude! Fingers crossed that love is in the air for him and Annie...

Has anyone got any pekin bantam pics by any chance? I'd love to see them, trying to persuade OH that we need some urgently before our 3 get too settled and decide they don't want gatecrashers (not sure if that'll be the case, I'm making it up as I go along to twist his arm   )

   You have someone very generous with excellent taste in chickens living near you then    What sort are the others? The one with the gold and black outlined markings is lovely (OH loved that one too, hmmm... think think... ). I like your style. I do love our ISA browns, but if we get an allotment I might have to keep them there and start a new collection at home, too. My mum needs lots of eggs, she's always making cakes and buns for the kids. Ahem.

Never tried this before, but lucyeff wanted Pekins, so here goes.....

The cockerel is a (young) Partridge Pekin. The chicks are 3 x buff and a partridge at about a week and 4 weeks.

Awww..what lovely pics!  :D The cockerel is a real handsome chap! Is the pekin near the end a lavender one? I'm hoping to get lavender and lemon cuckoo, but they're all such lovely colours.

I knew it would be addictive....

Thanks for posting those,  I'll show dh when he comes home and I'm sure he'll fall in love with them too
