She is free range and has lots of grass/weeds to eat and I hang cabbages in the run to peck, any other suggestions please, tried cauliflower but didnt like that and lettuce didn't get much interest.

Oh give them sweetcorn to peck as well

Very quiet they have been until they saw the cat !

What sort of chook are they Rich?  Their combs look purple, or is that just the way the light catches them?

Thanks, they are RIRxLS

Really pleased with them.

Just been up to check up on them and they are all asleep on the floor in a corner

I'll give em a day or two then show them where to perch

I think the purple combs is just the light Grannie not sure I'll have a good look tomorrow, just wanted to leave them alone to settle today.

Breed ID ?
Hello
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what breed this chicken is? I saw a few possibilities, but they all seem to lay brown eggs and she lays white eggs.
Thanks very much, here's the pic:

I think she's a bit of a mungrel

There's lots of hybrids she could be like but the closest white egg layer could be a Warren.

Have a look here

Mine are Warren hybrids  ...and they lay brown and sometimes white (very light brown anyway, a sort of beige magnolia !!) eggs.

The eggs see to be getting lighter in colour as they get older.
