HI EVERYONE,we are looking to purchase a petrol generator for our communal shed.The requirements are to provide lighting and heating in the shed.Also to power a wood chipper at some time in the future.Can anyone advise what type of output would be required,we have looked at the Wolf 3.5kva at £199,would some thing like this meet our needs.All advise greatly appreciated.

it would work the lights kettle average power tools (drill ,circ saw etc )etc no problem at all not to sure about a chipper though you need to get some info on that 1st mate .what heating will it be running ?

HI SHAUN,long time no speak! thanks for your reply,im no electrical expert hence the question,however a basic wood chipper requires about 2000 watts,apparently this jenny will put out about 2500 watts continuous.The heating we have in mind would be two of the halogen type that goes off if you knock them over,unfortunately i dont know what their consumption is.Have a good Christmas mate. :D

hi it might do one heater, or the kettle ,or the chipper. But lights do you never go home :?: Lights with the right bulbs use very little infact they would run off a small inverter and battery.
always have a target
and an objective.
